Dana
Bridjbhookhan: I need to grow my business to include shift jobs

Danny – Enginehire: You’re so in the right place!

Stephanie Graff: How do you get to this screen? I missed that.

Danny – Enginehire: Pro Tip: Use a repeat email blast to remind your candidates to update their availability. 🙂 https://learn.enginehire.io/en/knowledge/setting-up-and-sending-email-repeat-blaster

Stephanie Graff: Can you show us how you set up billing preferences as well?

Elise-Silver Lining: Whomever is chatting—that is a good point!

Amanda Franklin: Autobroadcast is a lifesaver!

Danny – Enginehire: Step 5 in the Shift Job Flow Config. will bring you to billing preferences—of when you want to bill someone! 🙂

Jesse Menditto – Geaux Polish: Hey Danny!

Danny – Enginehire: Hey! Thanks for chiming in and sharing your thoughts! Super helpful.

Jesse Menditto – Geaux Polish: We use the repeat notification option.

Peter Van Ryder: We don’t use shift jobs, but it’s nice to see the faces behind the names that kindly reply to all our support requests!

Teresa: Can you do a split screen of an actual job from start to finish with the candidate, client, and admin?

Danny – Enginehire: Awesome! I’m super glad you’re here because sometimes you’ll want to use these features in an Enginehire secret menu way to bring some of what you’re looking for to life.

Stephanie Graff: That’s a good feature!

House of Nannies: How can we add the candidate board?

Danny – Enginehire: https://learn.enginehire.io/en/knowledge/turn-on-candidate-board

House of Nannies: Will they see all of the candidates in the candidate board or just their favorites?

Jesse Menditto – Geaux Polish: Our candidates constantly change their schedules. Having them update their My Schedule (if they remember to do so) would be a lot of time for them. Unfortunately, that’s why we can’t really use the My Schedule settings for our business model.

Sandhills Nanny Co.: How do I raise my hand LOL? I have another question!

Jesse Menditto – Geaux Polish: Reactions in the Zoom options… next to Share Screen.

Danny – Enginehire: The candidate board will usually show all the candidates, and they can filter by the filters you want to make available.

The favorites are always visible in the booking area under favorites. 🙂

Oh nice, you figured it out. lol.

Jesse Menditto – Geaux Polish: We don’t use payment options in EH at the moment because we must employ our employees legally. They can’t work as contractors.

House of Nannies: Thanks so much, Danny! Quick question—if a client sets up a booking and no candidates are available, is there a way to display a message letting them know that we’ll still post their booking, but in the meantime, they can check out the candidate board to view nearby sitters? That way, while we’re working on the back end, they can explore potential options and even adjust their booking time if they find someone they like.

Janelle Acevedo: You can override it as the Admin. You have to go in and zero it out.

Janelle Acevedo: We always review before candidates are charged. We do this by having payments close out within 24 hours. Our clients usually do not close out invoices; they’re automatically closed out and charged to the credit card on file in Stripe.

House of Nannies: Thank you!

Jaime Mackey: The email about this webinar said we’d cover how to set up on-call jobs. Can we go over that?

Danny – Enginehire: Let me know if you’d like us to do a webinar on pricing. 🙂

Danny – Enginehire: We use on-call and shifts interchangeably. What are you looking for?

Elise-Silver Lining: One of my caregivers was accidentally able to sync their Google Calendar to EH, which was GREAT, but I could see their entire calendar. Is this still an option? I think more of my caregivers would upload their availability if so!

Rebecca: EH—can a candidate’s availability show from their Google Calendar integration vs. them manually updating it?

House of Nannies: Great question! It would be awesome if they could sync their calendars to showcase their free time.

Danny – Enginehire: Hmm. I wonder if they can create a second calendar that is shared with your company instead of their main calendar so they don’t share everything.

Jaime Mackey: We’re a doula agency, and one area that’s weird with our scheduling is that births aren’t scheduled (most of the time). 😆 We started out having the doulas add the job that they weren’t assigned, but it messes with our payroll process because they can’t select a job category type.

Teresa: Is the app more popular for candidates or clients?

Jesse Menditto – Geaux Polish: Candidates, in our experience.

Jaime Mackey: When I saw the “on-call” jobs, I got excited there might be a new feature because we have on-call periods of two weeks before and two weeks after the client’s due date, during which the doula can get called in to the birth at any time.

Danny – Enginehire: Yeah, I can see how that is an issue. We work with many doula agencies, so I am certain we have a solution for you. I think we’d need more information to really work this out. I’m going to suggest you reach out to our live support. Share what you shared with us and tell them where the pain point is.

Peter Van Ryder: Does EH integrate with any other calendar SaaS other than Calendly? Like Zoom Scheduler or MS Bookings?

Jesse Menditto – Geaux Polish: We tell our clients they have control of their schedule. They can log in and monitor their calendar and see job statuses. They can check anytime if their job has been filled and make a decision that’s comfortable for them if they need to make adjustments.

Jaime Mackey: I’ve done that in the past. I think unless new functionality has been added, there’s not currently anything that’s going to work better. I’ve made the feature request in the past that the ability for candidates to select the job categories be added, which would help a TON.

Peter Van Ryder: OK, Thank you! 👍🏻

Danny – Enginehire: 😂

Jesse Menditto – Geaux Polish: ie….cancel the job if it hasn’t been filled by the time they need to know.

House of Nannies: For the candidate board, can we only show that to certain client types and candidate statuses?

Mary – Enginehire: Yep!

House of Nannies: ❤️

Danny – Enginehire: I think I understand. 🙂 But can you please send in a support ticket with a video so we can best help you? I’m sorry if you’ve done it before, but I’d love us to take another crack at it. 🙂

Peter Van Ryder: Thank you! I think there should be more of these based on the questions you receive from the customers.

Teresa: Yes, a Step-by-Step would be great!

Stephanie Graff: Let’s talk about drip marketing one day for clients and candidates!!!!

Zuzana Hrubcová: Thank you a lot for this webinar 🙂 I could ask so many more questions but don’t want to take extra time from you 😀

Stephanie Graff: Thank you, Mary and Danny.

Danny – Enginehire: 😂

Teresa: Thanks again for all your help and support!! You all are awesome!

Jesse Menditto – Geaux Polish: Create categories for the different experiences?

Elise – Silver Lining: Love to all! Nice get-together 🙂

Amanda Franklin: Have to meeting hop. Appreciate this webinar! Mary is the BEST when it comes to troubleshooting and new feature help!

Mary – Enginehire: ❤️

Jesse Menditto – Geaux Polish: Thank you, Danny and Mary, for this call!

Mary – Enginehire: ❤️

Zuzana Hrubcová: Will this chat also be part of the video recording? 🙂
